[News & Shopping] Series: Legend of Korra Trailer and Avatar: The Last Airbender box set

After getting some teaser images from time to time, the wait was finally over because fans could finally enjoy a new video of The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra that has been released during Comic-Con this year. This spin-off which takes place 70 years after the happenings of Avatar: The Last Airbender will be about the next Avatar named Korra who will take the place of Aang. Apparently, the long awaited series is going to be released sometime next year and will run for 26 episodes. But I won’t make you wait for much longer and leave you with this amazing trailer.

I have to admit, I am extremely excited for this series to come out! The quality of this trailer is breathtaking and if it follows into the footsteps of the previous series, it is for sure going to be fantastic! In case you haven’t had the opportunity to watch an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I can only recommend this wonderful television series. The seasons are called ‘book’ and all in all the series is three seasons or books long and always contains around 20 episodes. So still a lot to catch up with but if you really start to follow Aang’s adventures as the Avatar, you will for sure not be able to stop. The characters are lovely, the bending skills look amazing and the story can go from extremely funny to serious without being too childish. It is a perfect mixture which will please every animated television series lover.

To make the wait a bit shorter, I decided to get myself a little present and buy the complete Avatar: The Last Airbender series on DVD. I had already seen most of the episodes on television and hesitated a few times if I should buy the seasons separately. It was still difficult to find them since some of them were also sorted into ‘book 1 part 1’ or even single DVDs with 4 episodes on them before they released a complete season box. But after discovering the complete box set of the series, I did not hesitate for a minute.

It’s a pretty big box which contains the three ‘books’ collection separately.

The covers look amazing and it’s easy to distinguish them all since Book 1 is Water, Book 2 is Earth and Book 3 is Fire.

And here we have all the discs. I forgot to mention that it’s a French box set but you can still watch the episodes in English.:green:

All in all, I have to say that it is a nice box set but it could have contained at least some bonus material or goodies (like a poster or booklets). That’s probably the only thing that I think is disappointing about it. But well, at least the series is totally worth it. All we can do now is wait for the new ones and rewatch the old episodes.  😉

  1. I bought it years ago in a store called Saturn. Not sure if they are still selling these somewhere :/
